Diaxion has worked with many organisations across Australia and Asia to assist them in transforming their operating models in the new era of transparency, utility/cloud and moving to a "user pays" model. This transformation process is not restricted to virtualisation but also covers the data centre facility level, storage, Unix Linux and general infrastructure levels.

There are a number of ways to implement an operating model, with varied levels of success. Diaxion utilises a custom defined methodology that has been proven across multiple (large and small scale) customers delivering guaranteed success. Each Operating Model engagement, while following strict methodology, is also customised and accurately tailored to the individual needs of the organisation, as no two organisations are the same.

The chargeback model and mechanism

The critical part of implementing any operating model is not only understanding what the organisation wants to achieve, but also how the model should be designed to augment and enhance the existing process inside the organisation. This includes definition of the mechanism associated to successfully implement the model and covers the toolset, the process and the reporting associated with both the model and the mechanism.

Client's financial analysis

Detailed analysis of the organisation’s financial processes relating to IT are fundamental to not only understanding, but designing and implementing the model and mechanism. Understanding of how the organisation’s depreciation schedules work, what the recovery time is, how much funding is required for expansion and how that is covered within the organisation are all key metrics that need to be analysed.

Communications plan

In order to facilitate successful implementation and buy-in from the key stakeholders and relevant business owners, Diaxion will assist in the creation of a communications plan within the business. This includes how the model will engage with the business, what processes and procedures need to be implemented, changed and automated, and how the reporting structure will be designed and managed.

Chargeback implementation and execution

Diaxion will provide any and all assistance required from the information technology or financial team in implementing the designed chargeback solution. Assistance can be provided at all stages including the model augmentation and the execution of the actual recovery mechanism.
